Hi can anyone provide information to where I could take a 7 month old puppy with serve HD for a discounted surgery? We don't mind traveling to a vet school offering this, none in our area are any more.
In the past we took a dog to Tufts for total hip replaced which was very successful & paid 1/2 the price because it's a teaching hospital. My vet told me that Ohio is doing this now-???

Our pup can't wait very long without surgery both hips are dis-located & she has trouble just standing or walking. We don't want to think of the other alternative than surgery.

Any suggestions will help, Thanks.

Stem cell is generally much less expensive, less invasive and has great results (from what I've heard, have a few friends who have had it done in the last year or two).
Can't hurt to look into it.

Good luck with your pup! Poor baby! Sorry I don't have any advice, but you will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers!

A friend took his dog to Mexico for a broken leg. Paid less than half.

As far as I know, Tufts is still the place to go in the New England area. My second choice would be Cornell.
