This type of response adds nothing to this inquiry and speaks volumes of your disposition.
Alaman, you should contact the AKC and let them know the nation of origin and type of registration that came with your dog. Speaking with the AKC will eliminate all of your guess work.

I will give Melsar props for coming on here and asking for help when they need it. But, it still doesn't take away from the fact that this was a big lack of foresight on their part and it was something they should have addressed before they got the dog.

Importation can be a difficult and confusing process. It is good that you came and asked questions. those who export the dogs from other countries are not always well informed either.
Judyp above is correct. That is the way it works and it does take awhile.
Many of us have to learn the hard way. If the exporter really wants to export the dog, they can make the export pedigree happen and arrive with the dog, which makes the task much easier on this end.
