Misconduct of Irish breeder,
Once again Mr Derek Stapleton is proving his worth as a criminal minded breeder,
Mr Stapleton in now advertising a litter of puppies and from parents with both parents been BVA screened. Very clever wording as both parents are, no doubt the educated on in the family wording the add,
What he has failed to write is the mother failed BVA screening and is not suitable for breeding. The female in question is Alalhard Ciara a Irish champion whose mother also had high hips,
Alalhard Ciara has also produced high hips in the pass and has been breed three time back to back each time producing big litters of future hip dysphasia pups

Nickod

Do you know what Ciaras hip score is ? Who is sire of these puppies & what is is hipscore ?
To breed any female 3 times in a row especially when she has had big litters is scandalous . I was under the impression the IKC would not register puppied if the Dam had 3 litters in a row

ok here we go !!!

I am glad someone had the courage to name and shame Derek Stapleton of Von Tentrick Gsd (sorry von tendyk gsd). I unfortunately purchased my first ever gsd from this crook, and nearly turned me off the breed altogether. let me elaborate. I booked a pup through Derek from a mating with a well known world class sire with excellent hips and construction and his adalhard ciara i asked Derek " im a novice what are the hips like of sire and dame" to which he responded excellent for both, to my astonishment i found out quite recently that adalhard ciaras hips are over 25 yes 25. He then sold the pup from under me and told me he had pups for sale from another breeding with another irish champion with high hips yes i said high hips again in this case 27. In this case derek told me that the hips were sound on both sides......??? so its sires as well as dams he uses with high hips.

At this stage i know had my pup thinking that everything was ok, unfortunatley the dog did not turn out ok with respect to coat i asked Derek whats goin on with the dogs coat he said sunburn.........ha sunburn, the dog was a liver. I later sold the dog to a good pet home down the country 6 weeks later the dog was dead. I then found out when i was show craft training with derek that he had been tellin people that "the dog isint right" but neglected to tell me knowing that i was selling the dog. Personally i think he tought "if this guy sells the dog then im in the clear". I then found out that there was a Dwarf in the litter from which i got my dog, again he neglected to tell me this and let me sell on the dog on. This cost me alot of anguish financially and emotionally.

If I was anyone looking to buy a gsd.....do your homework and get advice. Derek is a backyard breeder only in it for the money and the holidays abroad....that is self confessed.

Nickod the question i would ask is "How doe we stop this man from owning gsd's"

I see that Derek Stapeleton has advertised on Done Deal today the sale of Neela von Tyndek. Anybody associated with the GSD will know that she has a hip-score over 60. He just told me on the phone when I rang him that she was hip-scored but he did not know the hip-score as he did not  receive the hip-score certificate from the last owner. He also told me that she was suitable for breeding  Reputable breeder? Comments invited!!

he knows the hip score alright............

by ohallt1 on 26 November 2010 - 18:11

Nyla von Tendyk was returned to him because of her high hip score

It is high time that all relevant Kennel Clubs (and clubs those that now operate under WUSV rules, eg GSDL) introduced penalties of exclusion for those breeders who misconduct themselves, especially on the health testing front.

They should be excluded from the appropriate KC altogether with no further registration of litters acceptable, and they should be banned from exhibiting from any shows.

No wonder the breed is in such a mess.

like what a neck this man actually has if you look at the add placed on done deal it shows he has a 15 month old bitch along with an 8 month old bitch and just underneath he has advertised a litter of pups, what do all these have in common yes you have guessed it they all share the same dam dereks champion bitch adlhard ciara, im surprised she had time to be shown in the last year and a half as she has prouduced nearly 30 pups! this is not right and goes against all codes of eithics, like abbey normal suggests it should be down to th kennel clubs to stop puppy farmin

The Kennel Club loose their biggest financial contributers????    No way.....Never going to happen!!!

There is no secret that the man in question was the chairman of one of Irelands biggest clubs for 2 years and used his position as a respected person of a club breeding 5/6 litters a year, to convey pups out the door. His wife was secretary of the club and would have handled all inquiries from potential people looking to buy pups and instead of giving out members numbers he pumped pups out the door,
There is more then one female in this mans yard and no one has seen these females in the ring, it shows that they are on the conveyor line in his industrious puppy farming factory,
