hello Silver, nice looking dog. Congratulations.
IMO, your dog has nice rear angles, nice long bones in shoulder.
A suggestion for future pics: the off side rear is placed quite a bit too forward to show him to his best. The near side rear is placed perfectly, with hock vertical.
best,
Rik

Silver,
Nice looking male. Would agree that his pigment could be darker. Overall nice structure for working lines. The notch in his back near the withers may or may not be real. The topline, excepting this, is nice and the dog is certainly NOT roached, nor does he have high withers. His croup is a bit short, and somewhat steep, but he would certainly end up with an SG, and possibly when properly conditioned, groomed and shown with someone who knows how to accentuate his positives, might end up with a "V" rating in conformation. Of course, making sure he gets proper training and socialization, whether or not you title him, is also very important.
Good luck with him.

[agrees with Hodie] My male has a similar notch in his topline, and it's just a puff of fur, the end part of his mane

Judge is 3 years old. Well on his way to his SchH titles. Last year was bad family wise for me and thus he didn't get titled as I had wanted. We will be trialing for our 1 in May, our B in March or April.
The dip in the top line is fur! When he is all groomed up, it is not like that as in this pic which was taken after we were done playing ball. His pigment is actually pretty dark, That picture does not show his true colors which are very dark and rich. Here is a pic from today, showing pigment better.
He is not a show dog, once in awhile for fun, we enter an AKC conformation show. I'm thinking of putting a show rating on him this year but it really isn't that important to me. He is a NICE dog, works like a horse and LOVES doing what he was bred to do. There may be better out there and that is fine but IMHO, he is a damn nice dog. He is DEFINITELY NOT light in Bone!! That is laughable!
Thank you Rik, Penny, Hodie and Sunsilver! I appreciate the un-biased critiques!!! It's hard to get the best pictures with just myself and him, he hates holding still!!!

I love that last picture of him... It is like he is saying "you want to say that again??"
I can tell that you love him and he loves you, what more could you ask for.

Thanks guys. I do APPRECIATE good critiques of him, I have a lot to learn and he is my first working bred GSD. The Inyourfaceyotch bitch is really starting to get on my nerves, since she likes to hide behind a fake name and bash on my dog as well as his relatives. I'm too busy training with my dog to have time for petty games like hers.
I know he has faults, I wish that he had nicer pasterns and a better croup but last time I checked, there is NO such thing as a perfect dog!!
