Von truen shepherds - Page 1

I purchased a shepherd from Kal porter in Jan 2006. At the time, I was given incorrect papers. When I contacted Kal Porter, she said a family emergency prevented her from forwarding them. There was supposedly a hip guarantee, My shepherd has had a series of health problems throughout her life. She almost died from a pancreatic/liver problem. (Apparently there has been a history of EPI in these dogs) Most recently she is lame and was found to have a mass near her lung. When I searched for the breeder, it became apparent that other shepherds had significant health problems as well and individuals have tried to contact her to no avail, She has moved from her kennels in Effort, PA and may be breeding in Kentucky. According to blogs, several individuals have been trying to "track" her.  Previously, I contacted our local German Shep club as well as AKC to get additional info on this breeder. The puppies were advertised as von treuen's shepherds. It is so sad to see my dog suffer over the years...she is not even 5 years old>

sorry about your luck, she contacted me about the same time you bought your pup, I had a Congo Vikar grson forsale and she wanted him, ended up not selling to her, but we kept in touch for a little bit, last I heard, she had some personal issue's, and had quit breeding, but for all I know she disappeared due to what you stated (bad business)

I think her kennel was Von Treuen, not Truen
