ShepherdWoman

Ok, so Chaos is now a full time farm dog.  Living outside/inside with the run of the yard and a HUGE polebarn, equiped with his own doggy door.  He is absolutely loving it.  Our problem right now is that he has started digging!  Alot!!!!!   We keep filling in ithe holes and he continues to dig them back up.  Mostly around Bobby's newly planted trees.  I have put chicken wire under the soil and filled it all back in and he decided to try to take it all out again.  Any suggestions?

Try to put he's own poop in the hole before filling it up , it did the trick with my diggers.

Awesome idea.  I'll try that today when I head over to see him.  Thanks : - )

I have heard of the poo thing too. Maybe get him a sand box to dig in. My Sabin has one and loves it. Do you have moles that are in the yard.
Always,

Like the others have said. Burying the dogs own poop in the holes he digs is very effective. My gsd pup used to dig a hole every night in my lawn but
since putting poop in the holes and covering it with soil he has stopped doing it. I don`t think this works for all dogs but its well worth a try!

Ok now don't laugh.  Another way that I found very effective is to cover up the hole and piss on it!  Won't stop the dog from digging else where but chances are high he will leave that particular spot alone.  If he sniffs and marks the spot then there could be a leadership issue :)  Nothing to loose, buy a six pack and drink it, then start "going".

Try sprinkling cayenne pepper where they are digging, works for my dog.

Thank you all for your suggestions.  We did do the poop thing and to my amazement, he hasn't dug any more holes!  Wooohooooo, I am so happy.  Thanks again everyone.

I wonder if this will work to stop my one male from marking the corner of the house? I must say, I'm a little hesitant to start pissing on my home.
