I'm so excited. I finally have Janna. I picked her up in Bellingham last Sunday and we have spent a week together. We finally got HOME last night and Janna has spent the day meeting Ariel after it being a week of just her and Ace. Janna and Ace are getting along great and Ariel has been very accepting.....boy was she happy to see us after being the lone dog at home with all her people and Ace gone for two weeks. My husband works all day and the dogs are used to me and the kids being home.
She will be my Schutzhund dog. I hope to be meeting with the trainer I chose sometime next week or the week after the kids are back in school. We still have a month and a half or so before all of her immunizations are done.
So.....here she is. I entered her into the database last night so here is her pedigree. I'm happy to hear feedback....positive or negative, on her pedigree. I had already chosen her before found this forum, and from what I know and what I have learned I think I did okay.

And here are some photos I just snapped. She was 9 weeks old yesterday. No weight as the scale is in the room where my 1 year old is currently napping. But I need to weigh Ace later so I will weigh Janna at the same time.

An jus cause he's so handsome. Here is Ace today when we were outside playing. He's taking a break in the shade. This is my new favourite photo of him. 17 weeks old tomorrow.

Working Show combination. I like the bottom half. I have an Olix daughter. Real fire cracker. The dam of your pup is 3-3 Deika who has MANY sch 3 sons and daughters. This also has a 2-2 line breeding on the O-litter (not considered true line breeding). I'm not as familiar with the show lines. But as long as the sire is strong in the work, who cares. Tell us about what drives you see coming out in her? Is her nose always on the ground? Does she love to chase for a ball and bring it back? Good luck with your new family member.

I was thinking that the combination of sire and dam may elicit some interesting feedback as I know that some people are staunchly against the breeding of WL to SL. It looks as though in the sire's pedigree there is no problem with them performing in SchH. All of the dogs in Janna's pedigree are also KKL1 with the exception of one dog which is a 2. The Siegerhof website has some additional information about the pedigree that isn't in the database. City's entry in the database isn't accurate as well as sche is SchH1 and KKL1 and that isn't listed.
In terms of drive, we haven't really been able to spend a ton of time together...not more than a couple hours a day thus far, as we have been staying with friends and the dogs were very limited in the time they were in the house. She is very high energy, when we go on walks she runs...she seems like she is always chomping at the bit to go. She loves her toys and loves to tug. She is VERY vocal and she does not back down from the bigger dogs, she bares her teeth and gets right in there. She is really FULL of P&V, and would say without a doubt she's a firecracker. She was the only female in the litter (there were 2 but one didnt' make it), and she didn't back down to the boys at all. She has no fear. We went to the beach and she was RIGHT in the water after the big dogs. She had no hesitation. We haven't had a chance to play ball yet, but she loves the squeaky toys.

Your boy Ace looks like he could be Lukas' twin! Haha

Ace is all legs and ears right now, he looks like a typical gangly tween. And he is HUGE 51.5lbs and he is 17 weeks old. Ace was 20lbs at 8 weeks, and Janna is 9 weeks old and is 15lbs even. My 2 year old female is 75lbs.

Hey There Ace!
Beautiful pup by my standards!
But then again, I make no claim to be Pro at pup evaluation, should anyone want to contest my opinion...
I took the liberty of checking out your breeder's website and it looks to me like they take their dogs and breeding pretty seriously. They are definitely 'on deck' or 'in the trenches', however you want to put it, with their dogs and their training. I hope she proves to be everything that you hope for her to be, and more.
Congrats!

Don't wait to take the pup out to the club or in town. If you wait until school starts you may miss some important socialization time. I don't care if it has had "all" of it's shots or not. I see too many pups come out at 4-5 months that have never been anywhere and they are spooks. Just saw one this weekend that was too scared to go up to anyone. It hid behind its owners and everyone was literaly lying on the ground with food.
