Karat's Yoker, who won V1 on the Seiger Show 2005 has been bought by a Chinese GSD lover. He and his new owner arrived home together this afternoon.AS far as I know this Chinese guy owns a very big kennel in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province in China. This time he brought 10 or more dogs from Germany.

Asian man buddy, not righteous and have no resentment with German people selling their dogs, I myself buy from Germany. I simply made a statement and if you dis-agree with it then you are saying these dogs are being sold for peanuts to foreign countries. I dont think so. China like many other countries has interest in buying these dogs and its an open market to all.

Tarantado, I do believe that these dogs are treated well in China. But what about the puppies they produce? Are they all sold or given away to good homes? And why is it that we almost never see Chinese progeny out of these great imports being shown again at the Sieger Show? The only dog that comes immediately to my mind who was brought back to Germany was Josephine Kao's female Repitition Amanda, and she is from Taiwan, not Mainland China. Also, is Yoker's new owner the same gentleman who has/had Hoss vom Laerchenhain? Hoss was a great producer. What has he given China? Regards, Chris

We just wait and see. I am sure those rich people from China who acquired those great GSD from Germany has a great vision and plans for the breed. I do not think they just bougth those dogs for the seek of owning one. But unfortunately when the dog goes to China, the opportunity of the rest of world in using those Great GSD in breeding program...Closed

Breeding, as we all know, takes a lot of luck, and perhaps even more, experience. The Germans, and others, have taken a long time to acquire necessary experience, but even then, it is a hit or miss... The Chinese, with their wealth, have a fast track to it, having VA males and females may not be the only recipe, but it helps to shorten the time to success... What the Chinese lack, is discipline, I look forward to the day when they will overcome that and produce VA dogs...
