How long since she had the litter??
Was it a normal birth??

If it's just a matter of hours she will eventually eat. If it's been a day or so, get her to the vet. She may have complications that need to be addressed quickly. Will she take a particularly tasty treat? Is she drinking? What's her temperature? So much more info needed to help you on this.

the bitch whelped on Sunday(11.07)she whelped 10 pups but one died(not sure if stillborn)wasn,t told whether it was a difficult birth or not.dont think so as i,m sure i would have been told.this isnt the breeders first litter i might add, they,re old hands like me.i,ve only had 1 bitch who wouldnt eat hardly anything during her pregnancy but ate ravenously afterwards.will ring em in a little while.thanks Skippy.

Carole did she eat all the placenta's?

Carole
Tell your friend not to worry, she's had 10,enough good food to keep her going for a few days, just make sure she has water easily available at all times. She will eat when she is ready,at the moment she must just get used to the pups no worries Carole.

I gave "ready porridge" with a very little skimmed milk & water, eggs and honey mixed in... thick drink consistency lol... in the microwave for a couple of mins, they love it!
