Tucker is male about 6.5 years old, and sam is 8 years old. Both dogs are fixed and up to date on their shots and heart worm treatments.
Both dogs were raised around teens but not small children. They do well at the vets but have spent most of their time with each other only; not well socialized to other animals. Both had basic training. Both walk on the lease but with a pinch collar (I have never been able to wean them off that collar)
Both are full GSD, AKC registered, full german lines.
Sam is high strung very much an alpha female (fixed). She would require someone with skill. She is protective of the house. She does not do well with cats and has taken to being obsessed with any moving creature here in Florida. Since we have been here she has developed skin allergies which has only added to her misery. She has a lot of energy.
Tucker is a submissive male, very much a gentle soul. He hardly ever barks, but does follow some of Sam's bad habits at times. He is also fixed. I have no idea how he would do around other animals or small children since he was not raised that way. I do know that if sam focuses her attention on something in the yard, Tucker will follow suit, but left on
Its always so heartwrenching hearing these kinds of stories.Cant help but think what will happen to these 2 dogs. They have been together for a long time by the sounds of it and will probably be split up when rehomed. It would be awesome if the same person would be able to adopt both.I guess as long as they are kept safe and get a GOOD home it would'nt be so bad.Hope all works out for them.I wish some breeders would back off on all the breedings so we would'nt continue to read stories like this(no disrespect to the original poster).Yea I know,I sound like a bleeding heart to some but if you saw and experienced what I did today maybe you would understand.Take care and good luck.

These are two of the most magnificent specimens of German Shepherd Dogs I have ever seen. The owners have lost everything they have and must relocate to Texas. They can longer care for these beautiful dogs. I have spoken with the owner and she says that they will leave for Texas on July 5th, The dogs will be put down if not adopted or rescued before then. They are truly heartsick but they don’t want them to fall in to the wrong hands. I do not believe this is a typical case of owners throwing their dogs away. They are truly beautiful and have been cared for. They are UTD on shots, on HW prevent and have been spayed/neutered so these are not irresponsible owners. I have sent to GSD rescues but no response. I love this breed and wish I could taken them but I just cannot. If you can save these gorgeous dogs please help. The contact information is below. The clock is ticking for them.
good luck finding the dogs a home.......pretty dogs!!!!
Has the breeder/breeders of these dogs been contacted?
If not, then they SHOULD be--responsible breeders take back the dogs they bring into this world when the dogs lose what was supposed to be their 'forever' home...
If the breeder(s) have been contacted, and are unwilling to provide a safe haven for these dogs, then perhaps the name of the breeder(s) should be mentioned so they can be publicly recognized for their 'dedication' to the breed.
Who is who in this photo? I can't tell which one is the male and which the female.. Where are the dogs located at this time?
