This guy not only stole MY Picture and has it as his profile picture but yet he claims it is his dog!!! I'm so mad right now. I've already contacted the owner of the dog (in the picture) and she is as mad as I am.

I'm not at all surprised. How annoying though. You need to protect your images if you post them on the internet, but even then once they are there people can take screenshots. The link offers some suggestions.

I do protect them, in fact all my pictures on facebook are private, only friends can see them. I wonder if he stole it from the owner of the dog's page. Don't know if hers are private or not.

Hmmm, I guess he could have taken it from my web site...carolinak9photography.com

Pictures on facebook or webpages are not protected unless each image itself is actually protected. The "private" aspect of facebook is misleading I think. That is my understanding anyway. Best wishes

nice dog, get a watermark for your pictures, and use it for those you wish to protect.

I think she does use a watermark but that doesn't stop people from cropping it out.
Pictures are protected as long as the owner says they are. Even wtihout watermarks or on public sites does not make it a free for all.

Yes, it is Okay One has already taken possession of my own mug shot on this forum rottguy to be precise,
no different to a dog,or if it is on facebook or on here, nothing can be done about it anything goes it seems if you join these places all your rights go out of the window. people can play silly games and nothing can be done because you do not have their name and address
