I'd like to get a few more ideas on this topic than what I've been feeding, which is mainly chicken, beef, cottage cheese, and yogurt. I mean, they are fine so far, not too fat or too thin, but I just thought it would be nice to hear other people's versions.

Minced green tripe goes down very well as well, they should also get liver and other offal fairly regularly

Good sites to read
http://www.krisannriorawfeeding.com/
and
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/emma.siggers/Puppy%20Diet.htm

Whatever you read remember they are all guides as it is whatever works or your babes

Good luck

I'm curious about British rawfeeders...why do you mince the meat?

We feed Majestic Raw from Animal Food Services out of Green Bay, WI.  Their website is http://www.animalfood.com/.  Our dogs love it and seem to do really well on it.

I have never had a litter of puppies to feed, but my own dogs from when I obtained them as puppies have been fed raw.

Typically they have a variety of
Beef
Chicken wings
raw meaty bones (lamb ribs, breast of lamb etc )
Sardines (fresh raw, or in sunflower oil)
Cottage cheese
Lamb
Green Tripe
Liquidised veg on occasion
Liver/heart
Raw eggs with shell on
Pilchards
Lightly cooked veg when I have some left over

In the UK green tripe is usually sold through pet food outlets already minced. I buy from a wholesaler and it is already minced, but you can also get it in chunks, but it's not so easy to source for some people.

my gsds are not pups anymore, but we have a mutt pup and they all eat raw. we use: Nature's Variety - Venison, Lamb. Steves - Beef. Northwest Naturals - Beef, Chicken, Turkey and a new one to my area OC RAW (Orange County, CA) - chicken. i really like the OC RAW and the developer is going to come out with other meats. The price is better and the bag is bigger than Nature's Variety. My dogs all love the OC RAW. they also get canned green tripe once a week and a raw egg once or twice a week. i also give a bit of low or non-fat plain yoghurt fairly often.

i feed the same as dingodog.all the meats seem to be minced over here.A firm called berriewood do a good selection of various mince meats and also chunks of some types of meat and fish fillets.yu can also have your own customised boxes but the price is dearer.anglian meat products also do a similar range.they also have a range of mince meats with the veg.included(also in nugget size)but this has VAT.added.i add pro.biotic yogurt and cottage cheese also to my list.my dogs aren,t too keen on fresh whole fish, but they will eat canned fish/fresh fish without the skins.Carole S.

VM:  I read through Von Lotta's german shepherd website;  very impressed with their puppy feeding schedule;  goes into from birth until 15 months old so gave me some new ideas.  Just look at their web and they have a raw diet for puppies and adults.  Well thought out and I was able to run a copy.  Nan  (PS  puppies are just adorable).

Yes, Nans, they seem to be doing almost what I am, like the raw chicken  backs. I'm not used to buying the commercial raw; I was just hoping that I was covering all my bases with them, and according to that site I am. Thanks!
