Yes I just saw it too & was shocked! Never saw a dog get chased away by the decoy before.
Maybe the dog got hurt when he missed the decoy -????
He made it up to the WUSV level though -???
Anyone have any info?

Clint,

The dog made it to the WUSV, so yes it was a good dog.  Dogs do get chased at local, regional, National and World events.

I wouldn't go thinking the whole line is crap because of one dog at one event. Hard to say what really happen, although it looks pretty messed up. Now if the dog had a history of coming off the sleeve, well then..........

He does now.  The dog will not be able to compete at a big event again.  If the dog received a rating of vh, as it looks like it should have, his trial career is toast.

When looking at the WUSV 2007 results only 3 dogs were disqualified;
1st is a solid black dog - so could not be the dog on the video.
2nd dog listed has no photo on the data base so can not say.
The 3rd is a sable dog - But his coloring looks lighter than the dog in the video. He has a nice pedigree though.
Many other dogs with a pedigree like this have had done very well in sport & work.
I'm sure if this was the dog on the clip, he was headed for greatness too, then one burp & now it's over.
Very sad. Who ever the dog is, I feel so bad for the trainer / handler. I couldn't imagine putting in so much training time with your dog & getting that far only to be hit with such a surprise. But who ever the dog & handler team are, I'm sorry for what happen. They still research WUSV level, something only a few can claim.

What a shame indeed. Clint, how are your babies doing? Any new pics?

Could it be that the large crowd threw the dogs confidence off?
Or the handelers confidence was shaky and thus effected the dog?
What do you guys think?
Handlers sometimes see behaviors during trials that they never see during regular training.

What's the big deal? Showlines do this all the time at the Sieger shows and they still pass ;)
