This brings us to other comments made on these pages by you missbeeb, who in our opinion have put yourself firmly in the same slot as the Clare Balding's of the world, by passing rude and judgemental comments concerning Animals and people of which you know nothing about.
I mean at the end of the day MISSBOOB sorry missbeeb, you couldn't even name the bitch that won CC and BOB under Gary Gray at WELKS 2008.so how can you have the knowledge to comment.
To put the records straight her name is Champion Fayrelander Polly Flinders, who incidentally went on to win a further 3 CC's at the next three shows, two more best of breeds, and Group 2 at Three Counties, Making her Dog World/Pedigree Masterfoods Overall Top GSD 2008 .The very nice Ch Mirrwood Sciffo at Reyanheath shared the limelight with her on three of these occasions, handled by My husband to one of his tickets.
We will certainly be entering Crufts next year, because, Win or loose We trust that Gary will put up the Best dog on the day,
We might even see you there, if your ready for an honest days judging, or is it as we suspect you join the ranks of the other sore losers.
By the way sorry to disappoint you but She is also three quarters Top quality German Breeding!

I'm neither disappointed nor interested, frankly! I thought his judging was appalling. I am not a sore loser, indeed, I was too wise to enter.
I'm afraid I don't have the same platform as Clare Balding, but I am entitled to my opinion... and it stands. I didn't know the name of your bitch (why would I?) but my eyes were functioning very well.
It really wasn't my intention to offend you... so for that, I apologise unreservedly.
My we expect to see you at Regional events in the future, to show under specialist judges?

In other words I thought it sad that the likelihood is that they wouldnt be joining us at our WUSV events for Health & Character Checked animals having obtained a BC Survey Pass.
As you know I dont advocate the mad DH either and my age (57) and spinal condition prevents me from doing many things that I would otherwise like to do (although madly running around the ring DH is not one of them), however I still manage to compete with those that do because I train my animals to seek me out, rather than run around following me, so saying they do not come to our events because we DH is not an excuse. Nor is it an excuse for not attending to put their dogs through a BC Survey or to attend a Regional Event or even the British Sieger Event , if only to obtain an SV Breed Grade (required under WUSV rules in order to gain a Korung as fit for breeding).
So I will reiterate, I find it sad that these people will most likely not be joining us at our Regional events , though will be one of the first to greet with them with Open arms if they do. So please dont say I was slagging these people off or Gary Gray or his wife Gill because I wasnt and havent and as I am sure you know if I had I would have no hesitation in admitting it.
Regard
Sue

Carole, I believe I said something along the lines of, "each to his own", when this topic was last mentioned... I meant it. I can't imagine why you think my opinion of Gary's judging should rub off onto his wife! I have never seen her judge and it's not likely that I ever will. My honest opinion is, that his judging was appalling. The fact that he managed to pick out a couple of decent animals does not make it all ok, imo!
If you are unable to check a dogs' dentition, it should not be placed 2nd... pretty basic stuff! Overweight, sway backed, windy animals with forward placed shoulders that are strung up under their ears... should they be placed? I don't think they should.
Now... I did not resurrect this topic and I have apologised to the bitch CC owner for any offence caused. I have asked if we may expect to see them at our Regional events in the future, but as yet, I have had no reply. It's my firm belief that we should encourage everyone to attend our events and I sincerely hope that they will.

"maybe some of the middle of the road animals are not to our liking"
well maybe some of the Germanic dogs are not to the liking of those of us who consider ourselves middle of the road, but according to some on here we are the scum of the earth, Maybe its because we don't like some of them or how they are handled that you won't see us at the 'specialist' events. Maybe some of us (gasp) even like to handle our own dogs!

by missbeeb on 03 April 2010 - 13:04
Doppelganger... are you a harbinger of bad luck, or a ghostly reflection / double as the name implies? I've never heard of anyone describe any faction as "the scum of the earth".
Rather than pre-judge, come along to our first one and see for yourself. If it's not to your liking... fair enough.
