Oh, good, now they're going to TIE HIM UP to keep him safe.....& they were so over joyed to hear he was safe they actually drove to pick him up, & they let him whine outside their daughters window until she came home from school!!  GGGRrrrr!! How about taking him into your home??? There's not much about this story that sounds good.........except that the microchip worked.....and of course the dog adores them......***sigh*** jackie harris

I can't believe the news thought this was noteworthy.... it's sick... They waited 2 days before even calling the pound???? And now their gonna tie him up outside... the story disgusts me..

GRRRRR.... Poor dog- that's all I can say...

Yes, when I read that they were going to just tie him up now, that really pissed me off. How about investing in a damn FENCE!!!! Or build a kennel where he can be outside? I suppose they might live in some stupid subdivision that has covenants that do not allow fences or kennels.......Idiotic story and they are very lucky they got the dog back after so long and his being so far away.

"Even though there is no leash law in their area, the family has vowed to tie their dog in the yard so nothing ever happens again."

Sad ending for the dog!

I would say they were using the tern ''German Shepherd'' very loosely.. that looked like a mutt to me

Wish I could get that phonecall. I can't beleive they just gave up after 2 weeks!!!  Ours has been gone for 3 weeks and we are no where near giving up.  Whatever.  We have already started construction on an 8 foot iron fence that surrounds our entire property (5 acres) and a GPS collar so WHEN we find her she will have plenty of room to run.  Obviously we should have done this all a long time ago.
