"Hi- I have a 9 year old male shepherd named ****** he was not socialized properly as a puppy and thus he is very protective on our property. We have had 3 incidents with him - he got out twice and bit someone - not bad enough to go to the hospital but a bite none the less. He also nipped someone but didn't make any marks. We live near 2 schools and have a lot of kids walking by our house all the time. We have decided to have him put down but I thought I would contact you to see if there was any chance of someone with a lot of wide open space and not a lot of visitors taking him in. I understand if you can't and have already contacted the ********* GSD rescue- they couldn't take him but said perhaps to contact you. Thank you for your time. "
Okay, people, we, (RESCUES) are getting alot of these dogs in/OR ASKING TO BE TAKEN IN...it is so hard to say no, I am so sorry, but I just can't take that dog in, You will have to have it PTS...They are moving besides and are keeping the other dog and getting rid of the protective dog....
It is not the dogs fault....that it is going to get Put To Sleep...it is the owners...

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THIS DOG, WHO GAVE 9 YEARS OF HIS LIFE TO THESE PEOPLE. ONLY TO HAVE IT SQUASHED IN SECONDS, BECAUSE THEY ARE MOVING AND WON'T TAKE HIM WITH..BUT THEY WILL KEEP THE "OTHER" DOG...

GSD's as well as all dogs require TRAINING including socializing.......Very sad when this is neglected and a dog icast out or put to death.
