Critique my girl... - Page 1

Hi, could you please critique my girl? I know she's FAR from perfect, but I'm curious.  Last time I asked for a critque she was underweight, so I decided to ask again. As for her ears, they are NOT that splayed usually. She's splaying them on purpose because she's a brat. She is a happy girl and I love her no matter what. This is the best I've gotten her stacked so far. I know her back foot could be under her more. Sorry.

She looks happy and well taken care of but I think she is away from the standard, enjoy her.

She is certainly a happy girl and she has a beautiful face. isn't it annoying when you want to take a photo of them looking their best and what they do with their ears? You need another person to get her attention.
She obviously loves you and wants to please. Enjoy her.

She is not a top conformation speciment and so what.  She looks alert, happy and healthy and if her temperament is good and you are happy so what.  You have a very good pet then that will give you many years of love, devotion and protection. 

If you really want to know what improvement she would need to be competitive in the showring (only 4-5% of the GSDs bred are), then trace a photo of the actual ideal GSD (take Ursus Batu in his pedigree photo on this site, then trace a photo of your dog, and place one over the other and you will then learn the difference). 

Top show competitive GSDs take years to breed or a very large expenditure if you purchase one.  So anything you do to get one is either very slow or very expensive. 

One more thing you need to remember.  Capt. Von Stephanitz placed temperament and all its important traits first before anything except for health, which he considered equal in importance.  If you have these in your GSD, so what if you can't win in the show ring with her.  She can be a great 24/7 in home pet for you.

I'm betting she's fast and agile? :)
