Just flown in, and had to say, very good seiger show, congratulations to the Cullens on their (VA3)I bet that has put a few big kennel names out of joint.Still I expect you can say " well they brought it not bred it". Still pot and kettle springs to mind.Well done again, and from the south I see.

Do any of you think that there were any surprise upsets? Longshots? OR were the placings were you expected them to be? Congrats to all! Dawn Bonome

I was suprised because some dogs that were going to be winners for sure... didn't become winners

by Deb29 on 04 September 2006 - 09:09

The only thing surprising about Orbits VA status is that Tara82 thinks it was surprising! This dog was already VA rated and bred by the judge! (but I don't suppose she has worked that out yet!)

deb29, ah! it always comes to those who wait-in all your various post regarding the british corrupt scene-you say it's all fair and newcomers should just lump it and get on with it. now it seems the chord has struck home-lets tell the world the dog was bred by the judge incase they missed it-so infering that's why it reached third spot.as tara82 said-pots and kettles. anyway congratulations to the cullens !!!!!

congratulations to all british bred and owned dogs and bitches for your placings at the seiger show very well done .

Ah SimonB Thought you might jump in to defend Tara82 - you two seem to sing from the same hymn sheet. I don't think that all British Judging is fair, far from it, but you won't find me slagging off everybody who does well in the UK and whinging about the show scene. With regard to Orbit, I was merely pointing out that it was no surprise that he made VA3, because having achieved VA status in 2004, the judge (who also happens to be the breeder) was unlikely to place him lower down the pecking order. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the Cullens (their geographical location makes no difference to me) and nothing against Orbit, although he is a little on the tall side, in fact he is a very nice-looking dog. I was merely pointing out that, given the circumstances, he was a dead cert for VA. Well done to the Cullens and well done to all the other Brits too!

Would like to congratulate all UK exhibiters on a very successful Sieger. No surprises for Sieger Zamp both he and his progeny are stunning And Quantum deserved his place also.. For me the star of the females was the VA7 female Gina vom Aquamarin followed by French female Vana du Val D'Anzin

by Deb29 on 04 September 2006 - 13:09

Yes, I agree with you Joyce about Vana, daughter of last years Siegerin of course. A beautiful young female well worthy I think of future VA consideration.
