I was just going through old pedigrees & paperwork for my dogs, and I came across a Schutzund USA magazine from 1998, and they had an article on Alk Vom Osterburg Quell, he is in a few of my dogs pedigrees,as their Great gand-sire, really neat dog!!!!
Nice dog to see in a pedigree!!!

Yes, he is one of my favorite Dogs. I know several people who had his offspring.

He is Rookie's grandfather and a big contribution to his great looks.

I owned Rookies Mom, Jaycee, Alk daughter. She is a neat dog. A little fire cracker. Even at 9 years old she could jump about 5 ft in the air to get a toy. She is the most athletic dog I had ever had. (Until my current Tika..)

She was a good dog. I do not have her anymore, but the last I heard she was still going strong.
She is my Rookie's dam.

Thanks for that article, I have wanted to know more about Alk, & wondered about him for a while now. He seems to be one of those dogs with a big personality. He's Wolf's grandfather & my pups greatgrandfather.
Kim, sure wish Rookie was closer....

....had the pleasure of seeing alk work at a dpo trial in michigan..and at the nationals when he won dpo ch....also bred a female to him..outstanding male ..sable in color ..but you had to ruffle the coat to see the reddish undercoat..saw him come off the field after doing serious bitework..and little kids and little kids ran up to him..and were all over him..my female i kept from his litter ..outstanding..tough hund..he was a great example of a working hund...

It's weird, sometimes things you post in writing start to blurr out......

Anyway, we know what a great dog Alk is!!!!

I'm thrilled and honored to have him in my dogs pedigrees!!!

Thanks, but I have a Schutzhund USA magazine from september/october 1998.
that's where I got the article out of, I have since copied it and put it in my puppy packets.
I love showing puppy people the relatives of their pups, stories of them are way more fun than just names!

He has a big full page advertisment for stud muffin in that issue!
