I do know the GSDP are in the midst of setting up an individual website but the future of the GSDP (as we now know it ) will ultimately depend upon the final outcome of Club Members decisions to either accept the KC Undertaking or not. Notwithstanding the same would also apply to the future of the BC as we now know it. Decisions currently being made have implications far more reaching than most on here seem to comprehend. Sweeping with a new broom certainly appeals to me, anything in the best interests of the GSD appeals to me, everything that advances the future of the GSD certainly appeals to me.
The Future can be Bright, but in order to be so, it almost certainly CANNOT remain the same.
In addition of course what you ALL MUST TRY TO REMEMBER, is that whatever happens, KC Undertaking signed or not, nothing will change completely until 2012. Breed Club shows already in the pipeline prior to 2012 will continue, so for the next two years at least most will remain the same except for the additional WUSV events put on by the GSDLeague and any of its affiliated clubs.

Sorry Sue B no offence to you intended , its bin made too darn complicated for most to understand >> too many fingers in the pie << . How can small breeders and newbies be expected to understand all this when the reading matter is so elongated. I'm all for the kennel club making health tests mandatory , not all breeders want to comply with health tests, not all german shepherd clubs, groups, associations or whatever they wanna call theirselves want to comply either, who do the public believe in all this when you got one lot called the >> gsd info group << they must be off their rockers telling puppy buyers only to bother about hip scores on pups sire and dams and not elbow scores nor haemophilia tests. !. The breed sure aint gonna improve with idiot groups like them sayin bad stuff like that to all who ask their advice, unlike you guys Sue B. that are trying to do stuff right even if it is long overdue. The kennel club should get their priority's in the right order and get the health tests sorted and their misleading accredited breeder farce sorted instead of prattling on about double handling and disallowing challenge certificates etc. It all boils down to who is shown up to be the real german shepherd lovers that want to improve the breed , it sure as hell aint the kennel club and its band of arse licking followers !.

I cant see Dorothy Cullum not supporting haemophilia / elbow testing as she is so well known for promoting health issues in our breed.
Kind regards
Tracie.

There does appear to be too many complications for us to digest, the more I read the more confusing it becomes.
I think the same as Jonah1 the K.C. should be getting their priorities in the right order .
I have to ask the same question as Tigermouse regarding the 'GSD Info Group' not supporting elbow scoring and haemophilia testing. Hopefully the 'GSD Info Group' will come on here to clarify.

Charis Astina in Nyrvana is the sire and the dam is Sherak Fleur.
Nether dogs have been elbow scored and there is no statement that the male is haemophilia tested on the adverts. Only hip tested, both sire and dam.
The breeder is Chris Harvey and Chris runs the group with Dorothy so I would have thought if advocating the health tests, the least one can do is test themselves.
I sincerely hope the GSD info group come on here and clarify their position.

I really do not know where some get their info from..............
We are individuals as far as Kennels are concerned
Personally I am a Accredited breeder and thus follow guide lines, which at present are optional as far as Elbows are concerned as is eye's.
If we were asked what we think of the schemes we would advise it be in the best interests to support and follow those listed. But that is then the persons CHOICE.
If all followed that which was asked PRESENT DISCUSSIONS BEING DISCUSSED would not the world be perfect and we would have no need for RESCUE.
But the world is not perfect.
What Chris does and Margaret their personal kennel practices are their business, for neither are accredited.
Although Chris and Joyce Ixer works in the info group they support and advise on health issues listed.
I am rather disillusioned at the fact if there are so many who fail to practice also what they preach, all our queries are listed and replies recorded.
I thought that we were all trying to slowly improve out breed, and when writing updates I give a resume on what is happening NOT who is doing it and why not, but maybe I should chnage and start naming a few offenders.??????
We as a group were also contacted and have contributed to the health issues in the Sir Patrick Bateson report as have 5 of our expert contacts.
The Seminar run this year saw it very well supported with some 40 persons attending, this is to be run as an ANNUAL affair.
So some are interested in putting wrongs to right. Monies when requested come from many but those who could well support do not.
Queries come from breeders and also those buyers who have problems. Maybe I should request they fill in a form which says exactly what the breeder promised on purchase and also the paper work which was given????
Some who are querying tests on certain problems and how ALL aught to do the same, may have that problem to start with??
We do not wish to argue or upset, unlike some . But consider what you are saying before casting the stone are you beyond reproach?

Reports will now be appearing in the OUR DOGS/ DTW/ BAGSD formal news from the Sec./ GSD League mag. as requested this morning.
Please do not try and be smart by undoing what has been so successful to date, cos have you got something that would work better and are you prepared to put your money where your mouth is?
At least we are seeing results to our work, if you wish to write to me personally and have the b...... to place youur name on the email please feel free to do so. But I do not see that you are going to acheive anything by a slanging match.
Test were promoted for DM FOR FREE in this country but there have been no takers
A test is being devised for Anal Furunculosis and is near completion.
A Marker has been found for Epilepsy.
Which one are you going to support?
