Hi, everyone. I am new here and have some questions about pano.

About two months ago, my pup's front right leg became limping suddenly. She was 8 months at that time, 63lb. I restricted her acitivity. After two weeks, the pain became very mild, but one day suddenly it switched to her front left leg, and it was very severe. She couldn't walk at all. I took her to the vet. The vet found the pain was at her elbow, but the blood test and x-ray didn't show anything wrong. The vet gave me some Previcox. I kept restricting my pup's activity and gave her the drug, which lasted for one week. It didn't help a lot, either. I guessed it's pano and just hoped it could go away itself. After about another week, my pup recovered suddenly...

After that, I gave her ~30 minutes free running/playing in the dog park, and a 30-minute walk per day.
Yesterday, she started to limp again! :(  still the front left leg, but the limping was mild, not as bad as the first time. Do you think it's pano? Does pano come back so quickly? Should I take her to the vet again?

Also, I don't know how much exercise I should give her now.  I am not sure if I have let her run too much in the past two weeks...

Any advice is welcome!

OK couple of things to check:

Your pup can run with no issues?

The limp is only when your pup walks, NOT when it runs?

Take a look at the dog when it's stood from the side, is the pup sat back on it's heels (Like a horse with Laminitus - google it if you need a picture)

If the pup is rocked backwards is the back hunched?

If you answer yes to one or all of these it's most likely panno and the only real cure is rest, and more rest.  Oh and lower the protein levels you are feeding will help.

NB I'm not a vet, and if you are worried I'd get a second opinion.

She can run. I didn't see obvious limpping during running. The limpping is mostly abvious after she wakes up. When she is exciting, it's difficult to tell.
I don't remember the standing position clearly... I have a video though, which was taken when she had front left leg pain at the first time.

you could submit the x-ray to OFA for a consult they look at them under hot lights and can sometimes see pano If the elbow is normal than I wouldn't worry ,call the breeder and ask them if they know of pano in that line I used this solid black male for a couple years that always threw pano but the dogs always x rayed out later

People are in such a hurry to fix things,
Pano can take up to two years to go away,
WALK IT OFF,
Don't baby your dog, he's just got growing pains,

WALK IT OFF.........

Be lucky he doesn't have HD, or epilepsy, or DM, or Megaesophagus, or PED, GOD

Just give him some Bufferin asprin, please,
don't subject your dog to going to the money hungry vet, that will give your dog unnecessary pain medications, that are
just the same as Bufferin asprin,

my dog has pano, he is six months old, it came & went & came back, OH MY!, he gets 325 mls of Bufferin asprin a day, and limited exercise, that's it.

I haven't seen a difference in exercise vs. rest in terms of pain, but my dog had very high pain tresholds. On the contrary, you don't want to risk so much rest that you get muscle atrophy in the affected leg; that can show up later and screw up your hip/elbow ratings.

I gave up trying to fix it and just let them do what they felt up to doing. I also didn't find that any diet really helped either. It seems to be more in some lines than others, but it's more of a nuisance than a real health issue and it's self limiting.

It definitely sounds like Pano from your description of it's moving from one leg to the next, although males are more likely to get it than females. I had one male get it at almost 3 years old. Seriously.
