Can anyone tell me at what age a GS will start getting it's adult coat please? I have a long haired pup,who is almost 5 months old and there is still no sign of the new shiny adult coat coming through.

I guess it depends on the dog. Mine got his at 4 months.

I think when they are about 3 months old they get this shiny ring of new fur around their tail, a few inches from the base.

it usually starts to come in by 4 months...
and like liesjers said, you can always look for the ring around their tail, that's the first sign of a coat change...

the age of the puppy and the time of the year.......the new coat will start showing very soon - not to worry.
