Can a dog bred out of Germany be entered in German OG,LG or BSZS shows? I mean even if the parents dont have SV pedigree can the dog be entered in Germany? What are rules and requirements regarding that? Is it possible get a Sch and Kkl certificate in Germany for this dog from? Has anyone of you who has bred outside Germany using local sire and dam tried this? It is my dream to enter dog of my breeding in German shows? I know this is foolishness and may be I am leaving in fools paradise but one can't stop mind from dreaming.

Dogs bred in the US, Denmark, France, Italy, etc are entered at the BSZS all the time. If the parents of a dog do not have KKL, then that dog cannot achieve VA, as happened with Karats Ulk in 2004. If the grandparents are not titled that dog should also not be able to achieve VA. These rules do not apply to OG or LG shows. Just need SV recognized papers for that. And the appropriate titles for the appropriate classes. The SV in Germany does not have an Open Classfor adult dogs without a title. VDH (FCI) shows do, but are not really frequented very strongly by the SV breeders. You can title any dog. Just need a scorebook and a tattoo for proper identification. You can KKL a dog that has an SV recognized registration, 4 generation pedigree, tattoo, DNA, BH, AD, SchH1 or equivalent, one show rating of at least G, HD and ED SV a-stamps, and turns 2 the year you present it at the KKL. Contact me with some details of what country you live in etc and I will gladly help you realize some of those dreams. Nothing foolish about that :o). Lots of people share the same dream and many more realize it all the time. We provide training and titling in Germany and can help you get everything that you need together for that. We also have show handlers available. Provide breeding service. And provide consultation as to what to do with the dog in terms of where to show, what the dog is capable of etc.

Hello DH, Thanks for your letter. It was a ray of hope that sometime in fiture I will be able to enter my bred dog in Germany. I stay in India. And at the moment there are not many good bred dogs here.As the gene pool is limited and not many professional people involved. But sometimes by luck we get some outstanding bred dogs which can really fight at the German shows. I dont mean thay can win but certainly can fight. 1) Is it possible to register my dog with SV? My dog has import father and bred in India mother. 2) Can I become a member of SV and what are the advantages of that? What is procedure and how much it costs? 3)What do I need to do if I want to show in Germany? I mean what paper work is required from my side to send my dog to Germany for show? 4)Suppose if I send you photo of my dog will you be able to guide me whether he has any chance at the shows? 5) Suppose I can nit get the DNA here is it possible to get it done at your place? I read somewhere that DNA does not confirm the parentage of the dog it is only restricted to the particular dog is it true? 6) And last but not the least how much will it cost me to train my dog and keep him there for say for 1 year for the show. Do you have your website. Thank you
