Yes I love him! I bet he was good and ready to stretch his legs out! He looks like he is already made himself at home. He looks so much like Zasko, WOW
Looking forward to more pictures. I'll post Indi's pictures as soon as she gets home. Matt should be filling out the paperwork now. Still may be another hour or so before she gets home. Can;t wait :-)
Thanks for sharing Jason

Steve,

It looks like the long trip did not bother him much, if at all. As soon as I left him out of the crate outside of the cargo office he went after my pants with gusto :) Luckily I came prepared because I wore the oldest pair of jeans I can find in my closet. Rinus warned me the pups like pants!

Those pups, Ike & Indi are really nice looking pups and no doubt they will be a handful.  Thanks for sharing and congrats on your new pup.  Good thinking about wearing the old jeans!  LOL

Looks like he is going to be a right little firecracker, It shows the strengh and will power when a Pup can come off a long flight and act like that, No Doubt about his courage and the spark of his Daddy is already coming out, keep us uptodate with the Pic's let Rinus see the Video he will be pleased with what he sees

Thanks, Steve. I brought him out to the club twice this weekend for him to see the field, watch some dogs work, and socialize with other people. He showed no reaction when we did the gunshot test and he even got to do a little bit of rag work alongside the bigger puppies yesterday. I think he thoroughly enjoyed himself there, as though he knew that's where he belongs. So far he shows himself to be a confident puppy with a little bit of temper on the side LOL. Someone at the club told me he is going to be big trouble in about 6 months. I asked " Not good?" and she said "No, it's good. Now if I tell you your dog is sweet, then it's not good!"

That is what you want to see in a Pup Confidence and into everything,
Izzy when she was 5 weeks old if she saw a flower in the garden sway in the breeze she had the head off it in a flash, everything which moved she wanted to get hold of and is the same now even more so She is a week off 6 months old now Trouble ahead but i love it, Keep the Pic's coming

Judging by the pitures and video - that is a good puppy. Rinus Bastiansen knows how to pick them.

When I got my puppy...

I wanted a puppy fromZidane Haus Sevens, in about 2006, or 2007, back when Marlene Wiggins wasn't in trouble with people as it seems to be now. the breeding didn't take, second timeI never liked any of the puppies, 3rd time I went elsewhere.

Local breeder just outside of Houston had a litter, 4 puppies, 2 males and 2 females. Pedigree full of Trolls, Yoschys, Feros and so on dogs and one of my favorite dogsTim Abfuhr (a so called REAL dog) grandfather on mother's side.

Since I know the breeder, I pick whatever pupp I want. I came prepared with all sorts of tests to do, throw something, retrieve, calming them, noise rattling around, handling, following, pain sensitivity, this and that.At the end I haven't used anything, just my eyes and brain.

Went to see them at 7 weeks.

Puppies are in their pen playing, just kind of roaming around aimlessly, taking potshots at each others, wrestling.

As soon as they saw somebody unfamiliar approaching, they got alerted. All their ears are already fully up,erect and straight, no "soft ears" bullshit, givethem soemthing to chew etc...strong asd up.

One puppy looked up and slinked back, staying in the pen. NOT this one, I said to the breeder - he already knows it and tells me he agrees.

The other 3 rush to me. Among all 4 -I don't know how to describe it - a GiANT male puppy beat everyone else to the punch
and rushed towards me. It's Texas, so we wear shorts and T shirts almost all year round. I cruched to get down to their level and pet them. He ignored the hand and plowed intome bitting my shorts "below the Equator" ... Hard and not letting go and pulling it having the time of his life..

Since the shorts were long and baggy, no vital scientific equipment was damaged. After his Hello How are yabite he settled down and othe other 2 puppies approachedand I played with them as well.

Went down to see them at 8 weeks (the visit when I actualy pick one of them). The shy puppy stayed again in the back watching and the other 3 came rushing forward. he beat the other 2 again (maybe because he was almost double their size!) and did his hello bite again.

That was my choice, the alpha pup of the litter. If I wanted a sport dogand a handler pleaser I would have picked one of the other 2, a male and a female and it would have been a nice sport dog, what level nice hard to say at that age, maybe club or regional, maybe more, I'll never know.

But I wanted a REAL dog who can also do Schutzhund and I knew he will be handfull (and he is). So, we wenthome and we do our thing.

By accident I saw a female littermate at 11 months of age one morning as hew new owner and she showed up at the club.

Still a nice dog,but he killed the drives by doing too much formal obedience too early. Okay, maybe not killed, by lowered them not reaching the full potential.

So, THAT's the big male from the litter, wow he's big!

And he really WAS big, growing like friggin' weeds, but he "stabilized" around 13 months of age and didn't grow more.

Anyway, nice puppy. Judging by what I see, you can pretty much say goodbye to ANYTHING that you don't want him to bite - because he will bite it and shred it, forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest.

Best of luck with him and keep us updated.
