Hi Guys!

My Theo went to his first training session at a local ScH club,

and the trainer said he really likes him!

Never got a Sch title on anybody, but I'm determined to try, and Theo is ready to go for it,

can't wait till the next class, the trainer told me to slow it down, I'm always in a rush to move forward,

leaving the dog behind, I got some really good pointers, can't wait to get to work!!!!

Cool Paula, I enjoy Sch. so much. I even train in the snow. Not bad for an old lady :))  I am in as good a shape as I was when I was competing in hunter/jumper with the horses when I was younger.
Always,
Cee

That's good to hear Cee,

The dogs love the snow, and as long as I'm dressed warm, I really don't mind it much at all

Never owned any horses, now that's alot of work!

Slow Down?  what is that?  Train, train train, schutzhund is addictive.  Always something to learn -you and the dog -there isn't enough time in the day to train...

You go girl...never slow down....

Hi Happyday,

My trainer was telling me to walk slow in the beginning, to get the dog to stick close and focus on me, other than that,

we are full steam ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is great that you both had such a positive experince.  Not everyone is that lucky at their first Sch Club visit.  Keep up the good work & have fun!

Hi Paula!
Congrats on joining the new club. It's SO hard to not want to rush through everything. We haven't completed one task and I already want to move on to the next LOL. It is so much fun

Thanks everyone

The person that decided to form this club, got turned away when she initially  tried to join a ScH club,

they said she didn't have enough experience

Well----Duh----

How the heck are you supposed to learn anything if no one gives you a chance!

I am happy that she was turned away by the other club, or else I wouldn't have been able to join a club so close to where I live,
just 25 miles away, and ALL the people are very welcoming

Thursday nights have just taken on a new meaning!

They are members of WDA and have been members of the DVG, lots of experience, good insight.
