i have a female friend whom had a litter of puppies 8 healthy pups
mom vaccinated
burcellosis neg
mycroplasim neg
second litter
63 days
prevous litter 10 pup all ok
same stud stud is not used anywhere else niether female 9 days later 1 pups die was fine 1 hour before room temp 85-90 all nursing virgously next morning was blue and gasping for air thought the pup had been stepped on 8 days later another pups same way took to vet he prescriped antibiotics temp 103 and didnt know excalty took exray a little fluid in lung a tiny bit prior to that they where trying to walk and play nursing great no signs of distress then gave the some of the medicine and then one threw up curdles milk and then went down hill from there took to vet again he say it was not herpes virus but he thought more like ecoli ot samonilla before my friend could get back the three that where left had all threw up the currdled milk and where all having trouble breathing it was as if all organs where dying the went to the vet and they all died they had a temp of 105 in three of pups other had lower temp the vet is stund he never seen such a ting but still leans toward ecoli or samonillaany idea or experiences what to do with mother and how to treat doc seems very vague by the way parvo was neg herpies ruled out masits ruled out ??/

also just so you know these pups never cried or anything no bloating either very large pups

Sorry for your friends, this is a terrible thing to have happen...
did your friend ask for necropsies to be done on the pups?? That might tell him something....
You mentioned the room temp but not the box... to me, 85-90 is very hot.. I usually keep the box around 75 degrees with no drafts and put in the warming discs..
Having puppies too hot is not good either...
I have seen whole litters wiped out by coccidia.. hope they are testing for that as well because that sucker stays a round for a long time
Just curious, do you know when the mother was most recently vaccinated and for what?
I hope they find something.....
