My puppy has hip dysplasia. My contract provides for a "partial" refund for this condition. The puppy also has a number of other orthopedic conditions as diagnosed by Auburn University. What would a reputable breeder consider a partial refund to be in such a case?

how old is said puppy?

The puppy is currently 8 months. He was born in Jan 2009. The contract is for one year and provides for a "partial refund". I guess next time I will insist on a more specific contract. This time, I'd like to know what the breeding community believes is fair.

well, if the pup does infact have HD( moderate/severe), and other issue's, then yes, I think you deserve a refund/replacement. but good luck in getting it. most guarantee's/contracts aren't worth the paper they are printed on. alot of breeders word them in such a way that it is near impossible for the buyer to get a replacement or money back(1/2 full purchase price is fair, jmo).
alot of dogs can live their entire lives with HD and not show any signs of it, living very full, healthy long lives. if your puppy has it bad enough that the quality of life suffers, then yes I think you deserve a refund or replacement.
what other conditions does the pup have?

I am serious, I have seen this JMO used several times, I tried to look it out in the dictionary but it is not there, what does it mean?

Uber Land-I appreciate your feedback. Thanks. Other conditions are a fragmented coranoid process in both elbows and an incompletely formed shoulder joint.
