Is this some sort of joke!!
At 8 weeks old he should be on four square meals a day of high quality puppy food(royal Cain German Shepherd Junior is what we use)
He does not want or need milk at that age, it will do him more harm than good, did you not get a diet sheet from the breeder,my god i give up
Unbelieveable!!!!

if you feed him properly he won't need extra food to gain weight. Mine didn't at that age.

I feed non-commecial food.

You can search the internet on puppy food recepie and you'll find plenty of information that will guide you later to make your own.
Here's a link to compnents of GSD food (adults and puppies).

3-4 times a day.  Feed him a good kibble and wet it with water.  Don't try to put weight on him.  As long as he is energetic, his coat shiny and he is bright eyed he is fine.  Too much weight on a puppy is hard on his joints.  Better a thin pup than a fat pup.  When my girl was this age she looked very much like your pup.  Up the number of feedings but don't over feed him.  Remember, he has a little tummy.  He'll be fine.

He maybe bloated from worms but also from being malnourished. Where are you at that you cannot get a good reliable dog food?
Always,

You should listen to all the good advice you are getting from everyone.  And do it right away.  Everyone has an opinion on food.  I use Flint River Ranch Dog food.  He should be on a kibble now.  I fed my puppy 3 meals a day until she was 4 months then went to 2x a day.  Working up to 3 cups per day.

My puppies go on raw starting at 4 weeks of age, maybe lean hamburger or chopped meat. They are capable of eating a raw chicken wing at about 6 weeks of age. And from then on, they never touch kibble. Weird thing is, you have to feed the dog the rations that would maintain him as an adult. So. If you expect him to be 80 lbs, you have to feed 3-4% of that, which is what, 2.5 or 3 lbs per day, spread over about 3 meals. I do like to give cottage cheese or yogurt sometimes, too, when they are that young. And raw egg.

You think 3 lbs of raw meat daily for a 15 pound puppy is a lot, but it isn't!
