RABIES, HUMAN, CANINE - CHINA (BEIJING)(02) From ProMed...an infectious disease informational listserve Date: Thu 24 Aug 2006 Source: CHINAdaily, 24 Aug 2006 [edited] As of Mon 21 Aug, 5 people have died from rabies in Beijing in 2006, with close to 70 000 people in the capital reporting being bitten by dogs in the first half of this year, said local health authorities. Only one of the 5 people who died in Beijing contracted rabies in the city. The 4 others came down with the disease in other parts of the country and were rushed to the capital for treatment.

We no longer eat Chinese food, buy clothing made in China or support Chinese based businesses or products in any way. I have seen the photos of how they are "dealing" with the rabies issue and it's Shameful and Abusive ! I will not support china in any fashion if many many more follow suit we will have an impact. I have written letters to Chinese government officials if you guys have not yet and wish to join the masses... Go to the PETA website and you will find the link to do so as well.

I understand you're upset with China but what got to do for not eating Chinese food? :)Chinese food they're one the best.
