I've been contemplating and come to a decision that I'm getting my butt in gear, working the dogs I have (and not the one I miss!!)
and going for a bunch of titles at our Fall trial.
I'll go first
Nero- Last leg for his CD (obviously not at our fall trial, though definately this year) and start working on his CDX, AD, IPOI, and FH1
Cera- BH, FH1
Geena- BH, AD, FH1
To occomplish this, we've been conditioning Mon, Wed., Fri, Obedience and Tracking Tues, Thurs and Sat. Protection every Saturday, Thursdays when I can
make it.
What have you all been working towards?

for us we are just starting so I'm still full of the wonder and excitement of spring!!!! Training goals this year are to Title The 6 adults that are here by Nov at the latest. Keep at it with the two pups ( one of whom I have to keep repeating the mantra, she is still a baby , she is still a baby.) Everything comes sooo easy to her and the tendancy to push is very strong so I have to keep reeling myself in. I would also like to find a Sch .3( IPO whatever the heck we have to call it now) to actively campaign this year. I have tried all the tactics on that one :) Free board, owner just pays for food and entries. I think when you offer something like that it appears to good to be true so people shy away from it. Maybe I should change the ad to" Will campaign your Sch 3 I change 8,000 per week and owner pays for anything I want. " maybe I would get a nibble then.. :)

I have a tiny goal (yet feels impossible) at this point in time.
To learn to feed with both hands during Bosco's recall so that my trainer doesn't stick his cigarette in my eye out of sheer frustration. I have no idea why I am such a total cow at this skill. Grrrrr!

TD, probably a PT, working towards the HSCs but I don't know if that will be doable this year.

We are SO busy! So far we've already had two flyball tournaments (my younger GSD Pan broke the GSD breed record 8 times) and a show (same dog earned his second SG rating, 19 months) where I was also the official ring photographer so I'm busy editing and selling photos.
This Saturday Pan is doing his BH
This Sunday both my dogs are doing ADs
May 12 we have two lure coursing runs and might day-of enter the conformation show
June 9 Pan might repeat the BH (if he fails this weekend, or just to support the club/trial) and I might enter Nikon for a TR2.
June 10 we have a flyball tournament where I'm hoping Pan will earn his first title *and* officially break 4.0 seconds.
June 14-17 is the UKC Premier and this year my dogs are lure coursing and dock diving. My younger dog will earn his first LC and UAD titles (I'm also training him to challenge for the GSD breed best) and my older dog will add legs towards his CAX title and hopefully go up a division in dock diving.
June 30 is an SDA trial. Pan will do his FO and Nikon will do his P1.
Fall 2012 I will breed survey Nikon and possibly do IPO1 with Pan.
We'll add flyball tournaments as they come.

We're going for the 3rd leg for our CD this weekend. Are doing some open training, agility, and rally A. We track a few days a week looking to prep for an IPO1 next spring. Nor sure how that will work out, have an AKC Champion that hasn't done any bitework for 3 years of more. Her OB is good, so is tracking, so we'll see where that goes. She has her BH and AD. She's due to whelp the end of June., so much isn't going to happen until the end of the year. I will still do some light training with her so I don't get too lazy and not keep going.

Laura, is there any way you can try it without a dog involved? Just practise pretending LF is there. Watch Martin do it ( I am assuming since he has been doing a theatrical version that he has it down perfectly) Then do it in slow mation. Keep going until you feel you are doing it right. Try in front of a mirror maybe? When you feel confident with it now add the munchkin. You WILL get it!!! You should have seen me try to do the leash flip and lead off with my left foot when I started. What a tard! We all have things that are a bit challenging. Oh and wear glasses to class. I dont think your trainer can burn your eyeball then.

I would like to have Deja's IPO3 and survey done this year. Maybe an AWD1. I had thought about doing the regionals and more, but it will depend on when she comes into heat (I don't want to do another regional with a female in heat) and how the rest of the goals go.
Donovan: I may do a TR1 at our spring trial and then the IPO1 this fall followed by the survey in November.
Elena will be old enough for the BH at our fall trial and then I would like to get her conformation rating in November.
Vala: we are working towards the FH2.

Well if everything goes as planned & life doesn't throw us too many curve balls....
Attend a clinic to two and get the following on my dogs;
IPO3 on Cammi
IPO1 & AD on Ark

Brynjulf - Good advice as usual. Of course, Martin can do it perfectly- it's why he takes such pleasure in mocking me. He'll take over Bosco's training on the recall so that I can observe. I'm sure I'll get it down ....eventually...until then, I'll just have to endure being mocked by my husband and my trainer.
