Giardia and Coccidia?
Parvo?
Bad bag of food?

Go do another vet and find out what is happening.

Go to another vet NOW!!!!  Pups that dont eat and have the runs is SERIOUS!!!!  They can be dead within hours.  The first thing that popped into my head is Parvo. It can be so many other things as Sitasmom pointed out.  This is one of the few things that sends me into a panic.

Have the Vet check for Spirochaetes. Bacteria found in the intestine. Puppies stop eating and lose weight fast.

Start them on liquid ALBON  fast...YOU can buy a whole bottle from your vet...$65.00

Pups eat each others poop and get coci and it is very very common..

Find another vet is right..BUT run back to vet and ask him to buy a whole bottle of ALBON.

REASON BEING, tell vet you have to have it on hand  and that you do not want to get caught without it and you understand coci...

All vets know pups get coci...

do an 10 day dosage as on bottle.

wipe dogs premises with vinegar solution and make sure pups are each seperated in their own kennels. THIS AND MANY  other reasons is why I seperate pups early and then let them together during day and at night with mom.

are the puppies drinking anything? do you know how to check for dehydration?
dehydration is deadly and is common with puppies that aren't eating and have the poops (diarrhea).

Thank You everyone, I did take them to the vet and she put them on Albion. They do drink, I also give them pedialight, to make sure they do not dehidrate. Tonight only two had diarea, everybody elses stool getting better. Again, thank you a lot for very valuable suggestions.

both coccidia and giardia are identifyable by sight and their different odors. remember the odd smell of they're poop.....next time you will know what's going on and what to do. yes its gross.....but its part of caring for puppies.

i usually only take a poop sample to my vet its much safer then bringing unvaccinated puppies to a place that may have parvo or other sicknesses and its less expensive.

For cox, i clean everything down with 10% ammonia(sp) and water for giardia its 10% bleach and water.....while the pups are not in the area.

for both, i make sure the puppies are clean. they can easily get it again if there's any poop on their coats, or in their play areas or in their crate or on thier feeding or watering dishes. Keeping puppies and their living areas as clean as possible is the key.

any standing water in the yard must be treated, if they drink it they can become reinfected also.

both cox and giardia can be transfered to humans..becareful and make sure to wash your hands often..

glad they're on doing better.

If you plan to have pups later, the bottle of Albon is MUST..

IT IS Cheaper to treat all pups at 4 to 5 weeks old normally as they eat each others poop when your head is turned..nasty kids but they see mom do it. Albon liquid in powder form is used by chicken and bird breeders for the same reason... Better to be preventative as Albon is just that...It is perfectly safe for a 5 day treatment for preventative @ 4 weeks when they start to eat food on their own and personal contact..I have laughed at some of my female pups at 5 weeks old become a mommy when their litter mate poops..THEY  lick their mate as if they were mom cleaning the other pup up...Bad enough they clean their own bottoms but that is a dog for you.

COCI use to be only for filthy kennels they wrote....not true... any pup that goes out doors in a play pen for several hours and is all together at night or during days in a kennel environment eat each others poop and it causes coci>

ALBON is also  good when you do not want to use Flagyl for diahrea on a pregnant female...Albon is safe in that case..

Flagyl is not to be used during preggoooo..
