Free adult black male shepherd from rescue.
Our local vet has contacted AlabamaK9 about a adult black shepherd picked up by the local animal shelter and have asked our help in placing this dog. The dog is currently being treated for skin issues with fleas, ticks, general neglect. The vet called my trainer to take a look at this male and we have found him to be of very good stable temperament despite his lack of care. He will not be released from vet care for a few days and then we will pick him up and do obedience on him and further evaluation for placement.
If anyone is interested please give us a call. He is a very good looking shepherd and we will have him xrayed after his inital emgergency treatment before placing.
Thank you Marlene

VomBrunhaus, Keep your eye out for this guy the animal shelter ordered my vet to destroy this dog and she could not do it as he was licking her and begging to stay alive. He weighs 54 pounds and should be with feeding etc about a 86 or 90 pound male, his ear has been damaged on the tip but still up, his skin has mulitple hairless places from fleas and ticks (all treated). He also has heartworms but we will need to rehab him with a lot of puppy food and vitiams before we do treatment as he is to weak to do this at this time. He will stay with us starting later this week and when he gains about twenty pounds then we will do the treatment. His xrays were fine that were taken today. He has been out on his own for a long time but still appears to be a well adjusted animal surprising. We will put formal obedience after all this is done and he will be free to a good home. We named him Luke. If anyone knows of someone who might like Luke please call. He really from all that we see will make someone a nice pet. I will take some now photos of him and some after if you know anyyone please pass this on. He will not be ready for several months judging on his condition so we have plenty of time to find the right home. Thank you Marlene

Marlene,
If there is anything that we can do to help let us know. I think we all need to pull together and help this poor soul. It is real sad to have a story of a dog that is not taken care of. I know that vet care can get rather expensive.
We need to start a fund for Luke to help make him better.
Marlene, I'm sending you a donation to help save Luke.

Sandra, Pete said he can work your dog but he is going to Wallaces trial next weekend with Tracy Betenbaugh. Tracy called me and said James needed some helper work. Glad to do it for you, Petes number is 334-624-7850 and you can call him. No need to send money we will take care of this one. He is so sweet he is begging for his life cant help but do this for him. He looks like a import he might not be but his structure is really good best as we can tell. It will be a while before he can be placed keep your eyes open for a GOOD HOME he deserves a good life. The vet said he is about two instead of three as best she can tell.
Brittany, Hey I mailed you some stuff today let me now when you get it, the one video is funny you will like it for sure especially Pete hiting the chain link fence if you turn the sound up you can hear his body hit! I am mean arent I.

Thank you Lewis I wish people would not get dogs they do not intend to care for. There needs to be more animal control and fines on people who would let this happen to a dog he has a lot of scars on him as well not sure if he was not used for a bait dog he seems so stable maybe not, or is just to weak. He was sround other animals shows no agression so far we will watch him and make sure we know more about him before he goes help me find someone you guys! He will be trained we think this will help us find him a home. Marlene
