I am comsidering advertising my female for sale and would appreciate input on pricing her.
Her name is Xin vom Mittenhauser hof, a German import. Her D.O.B. is 2-20-2007.
She is Sch1 KKl1 . http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=643501
I have checked the classified ads on here, but none seem to want to list the price on the ad.

Hello Davren, she is a good looking female for sure!
While I cannot help you price your bitch, here's what I personally look for to determin what I would personally spend on a dog:
1. Titles - usually titles are much more money than nontitled dogs/bitches.
2. Proven - have they successfully studded/produced a litter before, if so, how many in the litter(s)
3. Date of Birth - when purchasing a breeding dog, I would never want to invest much money in a dog over the age of 4 or 5 because I would know her litters would be numbered at that age.
4. Import or Local Bred - I take into account the fees to ship the dog over here, the fees to attempt to AKC register them and that naturally makes the price go up.
5. Health Clearances - A dog with clear hips/elbows I will pay more for because it isn't a crap shoot. The dog has already passed these, so it's less I have to do/worry about doing.
6. Lines - As you know, some bloodlines are worth more than others. For example, I wouldn't pay $3000 for a puppy out of, oh, lets say, a pedigree of a bunch of "backyard dogs".
Not sure if this helped you at all, but maybe put things in perspective? You do have a VERY nice bitch there, considering she is now over 5 years old, that'd be about her only downfall. What I, personally would pay for a bitch like that, would be around $3000-$4000 simply because of her age. BUT, as aforementioned, that is just me.

Davren, I think I know what you are going through right now, been there, done that myself. You might want to hold off trying to sell your female for a month or so so you don't have seller's regret? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
