A testament to the loyalty of a dog to it's person.
This is why I love dogs, but mostly why I love German Shepherds.

That is such a great article to read. I am so happy that finally a working k9 gets some attention. This situation happens all too frequently and the dog which in most situations, saves the cops life, gets over looked.
My working k9 saved my wife's life. I cannot tell you from a handlers perspective how great a feeling it is to know your four legged friend ALWAYS has your back and not to mention your families as well. Our dual purpose shepherd is the love of our family and our family would not be complete with out him. Without him who is to say if my wife would still be here.
The dog clearly demostrates his dedication to his job and handler in the article when the writer stated the dog continued to go after the suspect even though wounded. The dog risked his life for his handle.
I hope the cop realizes what that dog did for him.
Amazing article and thankfully the cop was injured and I hope for the quickest recovery for his canine.

>I do not come on this list and start trouble like some. What gets me here is what little reponse there is to this article. Yet when we POLICE K9 do something the forum does not like, the topic goes on forever!! Believe me for the most part a bond between a PSD and his handler more cases than not, is stronger than with anybody else.!!
