http://www.thedogplace.org/BREEDER/MW-2+2+2=10-Ovulation-Mating_Barber-DVM.asp

For me, this article is very interesting for several reasons:

1. it uses two days after the initial rise of progesterone of 2,  instead the the much touted 5,  as ovulation. Ovulation is projected after LH surge. Hutchison is adamant about the magic 5. The difference may not be important but may be up to a day.

2. It states that the viable period after the egg matures is only 24 hours, not 48 or more. That is 48-72 hours after ovulation, not 48-96 or more as many say.

3. It clearly states that ovulation is a two-day process.

4. It clearly states that the need for second mating is due to 3, not "to make sure".

5. It clearly states that the period of peak activity for sperms even for fresh semen is only 48 hours.

I want to know if you have read additional articles or read charts that say the same things.
