THANK YOU SO MUCH!
My husband & I work very hard trying to get these dogs adopted out.
We now are working with a local college ( their VA Center ) to get a
retired MWD in the school for the vet's that come in. Our Charlie girl
is getting to tired to carry on being a service dogs & working therapy dog.
Charlie lost her left lung lobe, has damage to her back foot & scar tissue on her torn up ear & a
nick on her nose. Charlie was and is the best dog Mali we have ever had.
Even our last one did not last well.... ( we were unable to work MACE'S ODA with her horrible over
bite ). She was such a joy to have around, but we needed a working girl.
Now we have a few more dogs coming in so Charlie can retire. Charlie's days get shorter and
shorter with every breath she takes. The day we have to let her go will just kill me inside.
Every time she goes out for a therapy job, you can see the PTSD in her eye's, she so enjoy's
spending the time with the Veteran's as they do with her. I am able to hear all the stories
the old Veteran k9 handles have to say.
They all loved their dogs and the sad thing is, when they came back from war they were not able
bring their dogs back home with them. I thank God everyday we were able to get Charlie.
PLEASE contact your local congress man or woman to get the bill passed that we sent to
congress earlier this week. These dogs really need to come home & be with their handlers!
I am so bless that we have Charlie! POOR GIRL, she had 3 hanlers prior to coming hoe to us!
