lesson learned,
1) ask for current pictures
2) check to see if seller has police records
3)check past comments on the seller and other sources
4)send any X-rays to your vet to overview
5)have a trusted trainer or breeder to overlook the videos you ask seller to send
6)speak to seller in person, hopefully you can get the right vibe from them, go with your first gut feeling!
I have bought several nice dog's from pedigree database sellers, and Also connected to several very helpful people that are in it for the love of their dog's, not just for the $!

When I looked for mine I called both the local police and sheriff office to find out where they buy there dogs. I figure they won't lie or chance a black mark on the reputation they have built. Also, it's a good idea to check for registration with DEA and other fed and state departments.

Also, if the dog is not working out you can bring he/she back and pick out another one. X-rays and blood work already done. Much better chance to get a good fit for you and your family.

GREAT POST LSU Mom, I wish I had a contract for my pup... I never got it.
Then when the breeder found out that the pup had an over bite, DM & nipples everywhere but where they belonged and she was too soft he told me to sell it... :(
I did but we made sure the BILL OF SALE claimed to be a pet not a working pup.
He was kind enough to offer to replace the pup but I did not want a pup
from the same litter or sire & dam since we had no clue to who had the bad teeth
DM or the boobie problems....lol
I do have to admit, she had a great mind & a whopper of a personality!
Everybody that met her just loved her!
It is very hard to find beauty & brains wrapped into one.....

Wow, very strange about the boobie thing, I never heard of that before, but the overbite thing! not good!
Next time try Schraderhaus K9, she will give to you a several page contract backing up her great pup's!

I would be very upset if a breeder sold me a dog with an overbite! Most breeders are honest enough to tell you, how did the vet miss that on the health certificate exam?
