Hi,
I just rescued this puppy. The rescue agency called him a shepherd/lab mix, but I wanted to see what everyone thought. Possibilities seems to be any combination of dutch shepherd/lab/pit bull/greyhound/plott hound. I can maybe see Pit looking at his muzzle head-on, but from the side his muzzle looks lab, and from underneath it looks shepherd. His ears are flopped down, but when held up they look very Shepherd-y as well. He's very lean, and his hips are very wide, kind of like a Greyhound. His brindle coat suggests the aforementioned breeds, although maybe there could be other possibilities as well. Would love to know what everyone thinks - thanks!

I have to agree that Mastiff is a possibility. How much does he weigh? Do you have any idea how old he is? That would also help.

Hi -
Thanks for the thoughts thus far. We're told he's 12 weeks now, and currently weighs 15 lbs. However, his baby teeth are just rounding out now, so we think he could be closer to 9 or 10 weeks in reality. Initially, the rescue agency estimated he'd get to just 50 or 55 lbs or so.

Also, his paws are webbed.

Quite a few dogs have webbed feet and the Lab is one of them.

Well, it looks like there's a consensus of pit. Could definitely explain the brindle and the mask, so we'll see! Thanks for the input.
