This course will also be excellent for civillian handlers. You can also participate for 1 week or 2 days at a reduced rate.

1. General healthcare and first aid procedures for working dogs
2. Safety precautions in handling working dogs
3. Proper use of canine equipment
4. Prepare proper training and utilization reports
5. Cover case laws supporting use of canines for probable cause and use of force
6. Scent theory
7. Decoy techniques
8. Deployment scenarios
9. Tracking
10. Building/area searches.
Mike has twenty-two (22) years of law enforcement experience and over seventeen (17) years experience of working with and training dogs for the law enforcement field.
Being a full time canine handler, unit supervisor and trainer, Mike knows what it takes for a dog and training to make a successful team and reduce departmental liability in canine deployments. His career specialty in Law Enforcement is in the canine field.
He has gone to Europe personally to meet vendors and work with them to get the right dogs for service work in the United States. He has been an instructor at numerous seminars and has judged in the K9 Olympics.
