I have a Belshik son with awesome drive but never bred him.  Does anyone know if there is a high demand for these puppies or frozen semen in the US?

Thanks for any advice or comments :)

Hi  Belschikson1,

I have sent you a private message.

Cheers,

What else would your male bring to the table, other than the fact that he's a Belschik son?  What's his hip and elbow rating? What's his Degenerative Myelopathy test results? What titles does he have? Is he breed surveyed? What's his competition record? What's his mother's pedigree?

Just because his father was highly-regarded doesn't automatically make the secretions of any of his offspring a valuable commodity. There needs to be more than that.

[Edited to add question re DM test results]

I agree with hexe. I preferably like Belshik, but am not one who just goes after the lineage unless the sire/dam are good in health, temperment, and are titled in something.

more info,  pedigrees, pics, video, etc.  i'm a huge belschik fan and have 2 males and 1 female grand and great grand kids.  i would
certainly be interested in learning more about your dog.

Thank you all...   good xrays and health but sorry no titles.  Both Belschik and AKC Dam titled Sch3, but I never had
opportunity to compete.   Will send you a pm pjp..  would like to hear more about your dogs.

OK, no titles, but out of titled parents. That would likely increase people's interest.  Do you work him in any capacity (ie, law enforcement, service dog, livestock, search & rescue, etc.)?

Do you have him listed here on the database?

Since your male is probably an older male (5+),
you should probably have him collected and stored.

This way you could draw more serious interest in
him while you work on getting him some titles etc.
if he is not already.

Thank you hexe and working dogz.  He is 9 years old now, and though never officially in work, I have done daily ball and bite work and he lives on a farm.  Will take your suggestions to work towards a title and get some frozen semen. Thank you again.

I'd wait a few years.
