Tracing a dog by an Ear Tattoo. - Page 1

Hi,

Can anyone help with tracing a dogs breeder from an ear tattoo?
A friend of mine has had a dog for about 2 years. The dog is about 3 years of age now.

It has a Tattoo that consists of just numbers in it's right ear. I know that the dog was imported but not sure where from?

Can anybody help with what country only tattoo's numbers in the dogs ear, so that we hopefully have a starting point to make some enquiries...

What breed of dog is it?
If it's a GSD/DSH then by posting this and the numbers on the GSD board you might get some help?
If it's not a GSD then it's going to much harder.

In argentina, all GSDs with pedigree have tatoo. It consist of a number. My be there are other countries as well, I don't know.
If I can help you to find out something, just tell me.

Yes it's a GSD. I think it may of came from Germany or Belgium, but no papers came with it and all we have are the tattoo numbers in the ear...
Probably going to be very hard to trace the original breeder... but we'll keep trying... The tattoo number is 57374 and he's a black and tan male more black than tan.
