Thanks for sharing your video. Your dog is progressing nicely. May I ask what the purpose of the sleeve lying on the ground @ 0.27sec?

At the club I train at we have done the same thing with the sleeve on the ground with my female. From what I understand is that what is being done is the dog is guarding its "dead rabbit" so to speak. So helper will act as if they are going to take the sleeve (or dead rabbit) and if the dog shows strong aggression(defense) then the handler will let the dog repossess its "rabbit". As the handler lets the dog retake the sleeve on the ground the helper will either run away or step back several steps. So the dog feels that they guarded their dead prey and were successful in chasing the helper away and doing so were able to retake their dead prey back.
At least this is my take on it from what we have done with my dog. This method is a GREAT confidence booster for a young dog too.
Hope this makes sense.

You are doing an awesome job with your female. She is coming along very well. I love watching the videos of her progression in training. Her drives are nice and balanced and her grips are very nice as well. Keep up the great work!!!!..... and the videos too.
You have one of the best helpers around. He catches the dog safely and is great at reading dogs. It would be a great pleasure to work a dog with him.

Thanks Jyl for your explaination. But I do not see the point for "confidence building" for this dog as he is already barking well and biting on the escape.

I almost get tears in my eyes when I see how this dog has progressed with this young prodigy. Amazing and wonderful.
