I heard it mentioned on one of my posts. I didnt understand it so i overlooked the comment cause i thought it was a username at first. I tried googling it but it was either in a differnt language or it didnt give me much details. I gather it is some sort of "club" which hasnt or doesnt want to take off with UK breeders.

Any information on "RSV2000" would be helpfull. Am just curious about it

My understanding is that this alternative KC in Germany was set up to try and bring the GSD back to a 'universal' GSD.

If I remember correctly, it was particularly to break away from the monopoly of the SV, and their desire to breed GSDs of an exaggerated shape and limited colour, driven by monetary interests. Created by Helmut Raiser who was driven out by the SV, who did not like Raiser challenging the breed direction. (Can't remember the exact situation at the time).

Look at the stud dogs on their website http://www.rsv2000.de/de/198/Deckrueden.html
A variety of colour patterns, difference in type, expressions, head etc - whilst still fitting the correct standard. This diversity is a part of the GSD, and is being lost today with the direction the SV is pushing the breed into - that of solely black and red dogs, who look identical.

Far closer (IMO) to what a GSD should look like, as opposed to the current showline or 'alsatian', who are either side of the extreme.
