Good news!!!   I guess sometimes it takes a squeaky wheel to get the oil.  Too bad, that.  But in the end it worked, so that's good news.

How dreadful that any and all perceived dirty laundry that may have been available on the internet gets dredged up whenever the "Squeeky Wheel" raises their voice even when it has nothing at ALL to do with the question raised.  While I'm certain that it's frustrating to wait on a breeder to return paperwork and I do feel for the buyer about the lack of contact from Kim.  Sometimes real life "stuff" does happen that totally swamps people. I can't believe how quickly people are to pack-attack when questions of integrity are raised!!  Glad that you were able to make contact and discovered there's no devious plot behind the delay.

BTW... Happy Holiday, may the spirit of the Season fill your heart.

windwalker, how nice to remain "half full".

The reality is, the feedback from here was likely getting to her.
There is simply no valid reason for not having the AKC paperwork ready for the puppy buyer, especially when payment in full is expected at the time the buyer picked up the puppy. Buyer held up his end, seller should have as well.

Obviously she just filed the paperwork if the AKC stuff is dated 12-14, however, I myself would be calling AKC monday and checking on the actual status from them..

I do hope it all works out and you get your papers, especially right before Christmas.

Most people know, AKC litter/individual paperwork takes all of about 15 minutes at best..so no matter what kind of "drama" is going on in the breeders family, this is a business transaction and she should have made the time. She sure made the time to advertise the dog, correspond with the potential buyer and collect the buyers $.
There was time for that? There was time to have this all done.

At the very LEAST, she should have explained all this honestly to the buyer before accepting a dime of his money.

Good luck, I really do hope this was all it took and you get your papers!

Sometimes life and family (especially family!) get in the way of normal business. It doesn't matter what that business is- dogs, bookkeeping, governing a municipality, whatever. When a breeder with as many happy customers as Kim has (I personally know a few, some repeat customers over years) is behind with paperwork, most of us would not automatically suspect foul dealings.
I know I didn't.

The AKC paperwork is finally in hand. This would never happened without the support and helpful suggestions offered by many members of the PDB.This all could have been avoided if Kim had just done the right thing back in August. With any business , problems are certain to arise.Your reputation is based not only on the product you offer but how you deal with these problems.

Congrats!
It's sad you had to come here to finally get what you paid for, but, at least you got them.

I'm not going to take back anything I wrote about the breeder either, had you not shamed her into moving her @ss you would likely still be waiting.
She should have had the paperwork in hand the day you paid for and took possession of the dog.

Hopefully you have both learned a valuable lesson
Make sure all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed when purchasing a dog (or anything else).

Happy holidays to you and your newly registered dog!
