We had it here and both of my dogs were affected when boarded at a kennel while I was away. It hit our Animal Control and affected many dogs there.  We had to use several rounds of heavy duty antibiotics to treat it effectively.  It was very serious and we were very lucky to get it diagnosed and treated.
