Chihuahuas, Pomeranians and Chins -
Are these really dogs or just large hairy rats?

As usual, a brilliantly compassionate remark.

This isn't the first time a judge has been implicated in something like this, and unfortunately I'm sure it won't be the last, either.
SitasMom, that really was cold...they may not be your preferred breeds, but they were created for a specific reason--companionship--and they fulfill their breed's purpose quite nicely. Frankly, when I was working in veterinary practices, nothing made me giggle more than a toothless, rubber-jawed Chihuahua going medieval on my hand when I'd pick it up or restrain it for a procedure, and the dog thinking he or she was soooooo wicked and tough, all 5 pounds of 'em. And I don't care if you like the breeds or not--that doesn't justify abuse and neglect, no matter what.
Not. Funny.

Well, sadly, it's the smaller breeds that have more of a problem with such neglect. They're cheaper to feed and they don't take up much room. Chihuahuas do have heart!
I'm not much of a cat person, I'd never have one. But, I do enjoy other peoples' cats and would never wish one any harm. Same with my not-so-favorite breeds of dogs. To each his own and do no harm.

No dog should be biting to avoid being restrained, its dogs that act like that that give little dogs in general reps as oversized rats.

SitasMom, why would you even say something like that?

by JRANSOM on 02 December 2011 - 13:12
Yes, SitasMom, they really are dogs and feel pain and suffer from neglect just like any other dog.

I was very surprised at her commnt as I thought she represents Eurosport. Anyway, I feel bad for all animals that are abused.
