Change in import rules of dogs from Europe to the USA - Page 1

  I have been hearing rumors of a change coming up at the end of 2011, or new in 2012, about the USA restricting the import age of dogs-any breed coming into the USA from any foreign country.  Something about restricting the age to 6 months, in an effort to cut down on the number of dogs being imported, and the loss of revenue to the USA in fees?????
  Has anyone heard about this, and where/when did it originate?  And mostly-is there validity to it? 
  I could have it all wrong-so please advise!

 I found that using GOOGLE, but the reason from what I heard is to add cost to the import fees by older = bigger = more$$...as the reasoning for the change???
