That is a good piece of lamb that would like nice on a plate garnished in parsely.  Nice braised lamb with some couscous and a decent vegetable.

Glad to see he is doing ok as last I remember he had the surgery and all.

LadyFrost: I am sure there was a sale on whole-head of lamb, wasn't there!?!  What are you going to do with "its" teeth? A necklace perhaps? ... Ace, Bailey is a girl, can't you tell by her delicate beauty?

Ace you are right, she had a surgery in May, she is doing great!!!! :)

regarding lamb....well there is a slightly funny story to go with it.....

I stopped by the butcher (haven't been there in over a month) he has a paper taped to the glass "Lamb carcass for sale $175.00, no haggling, price is firm"....

Me: "Hmm..I just want 1 leg of that lamb"
Butcher: "em,....NO, I cant sell 3 legged carcass"
Me: "ok, just the inside of the leg...? enought for a few stakes"
Butcher: " that will cost you $50.00 just for that"
Me: "ok, ok, i will take than 2 legs for $100.00"...i pretend that he convinced me...and rolled my eyes...
Butcher: "let me show you the carcass......." - Butcher comes out with a frigging lamb across his shoulders (it was frozen)
Me: "OMG...Thats like 4 feet long carcass"
Butcher: "Want the whole thing?"
Me: "NO...I don't even know how to eat some of those body parts...and i don't have enough room in my freezer"
Butcher: " $100.00 bucks the whole carcass, i will even cut it and wrap it for you."
Me: "the whole thing??? hmm..i also wanted this tripe, and cow feet and rack of ribs"
Butcher: "$150.00 for everything"
Me: "Deal" - a deal of the century in my opinion...thats less than $3.00 per pound for lamb!!!!!!!

So I came home with 40 pound lamb carcass, 6 cow feet, 4 pounds of stomach lining and a rack of beef ribs..... lets just say I called it a "good day"....we may have to get a bigger doggy freezer....otherwise i am limited to about 60 pounds of stuff in there.


Bailey had worked on it for good 3 hours...the only gross part was when brain fell out and one of the eyes leaked....after that i stopped looking..and went back to watching "House" episode.

After she was done with it, the only thing that was left of that head on the blanket were teeth and very little small portions of bones...mostly just the top portion of the skull...i may stuff it with peanut butter and let her play with it for another day or two...LOL
