Looking for a reputable GSD breeder in Nevada

I've been thinking of purchasing a German Shephard for the past few months and I think the urge is at a boiling point now! I just am a little nervous about where to get one that will be healthy and not from a puppy mill, etc. Can anyone recommend a breeder in the northern NV/southern Idaho area?

I am in southern Idaho.. I know of two showline breeders and one WL breeder. It all depends on what you want.

I'm leaning towards showline and either solid black or white if I saw the right one. This will only be a pet and not for any kind of competition. I hope I didn't limit myself too much.

So you do have a kennel, and breed dogs! and yes SL, which would have been my guess also.

After your comments of 'sad, so sad' on pretty much every male/female protection thread, you can imagine my surprise when I saw you breed dogs suitable for schutzhund and personal protection! Not bad looking dogs either there bud, but tell me, how do your dogs do at personal protection?

To the OP. Most showline breeders, such as Waleed, breed Black/red. I did see one pure black on the database, although, you don't see alot of them, unless you look to American Lines or Workinglines, not sure about Nevada.

The white shepherds, as you may or may not know, do not do well in a showring because of their colour. There are a few breeders that breed for white, not to many on this board I don't think. You could google them, if they are what you are looking for. I don't know how many are in Nevada.

To the OP,
Why don't you do yourself and the GSD's a favor and get a RESCUE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG!!!!! There are alot of good ones out there....I even have some that go to POLICE Departments....they are so good....Why do you have to buy from a breeder??? Especially if you just want a pet....and there are far and few between GOOD White GSD's, I know I will probably get slambasted!!!! BUT, I don't even take them in anymore, most of them have major temperament issues!!!

Get a magazine on the stands at the Petsmart about German shepherds and in the back of that magazine are ads for WHITE german shepherds in Eastern usa...many do use them for Schutzhund and they are titled and are ofa also.

THe white shepherd has its own registry and not same as our regular bred shepherd. Consult AKC>
I remember seeing a breeder in Nevada in that magazine last year or two yrs ago..
