Cute, but I would never let my kid do half of those things... a kid who stands on a dog is a kid that is going to get bit.

These pictures are cute! But I would have to agree with Dawulf. I would never allow my kids to do some of those things. I was always taught to show dogs the upmost respect. I remember when I was little I used to get so mad that my parents would let me climb, jump, or pull on the dogs. But I understand now that they didnt want me approaching someone elses dogs and doing those things because some dogs will bite!

I disagree - IMJMO they're NOT cute. These pictures just go to show how irresponsible some people are out there. Yes it's OK for the kids and dogs to fll asleep together. But to have kids sitting on or standing on dogs shows a complete lack of consideration for the dog by the adults who are present.

When those dogs quite rightly defend themselves if the kids hurt them (I wouldn't want someone standing on me), there's a good tchance they'll lose their life because of it. And all because people are sillly.

Not all the photos show this of course. But the vast majority of them do.

Disturbing; Another example of "Idiot Owners"

A recent study showed that 1,000 Americans per day are treated in emergency rooms as a result of dog bites.  Most of the victims who receive medical attention are children, half of whom are bitten in the face.

77% of injuries to children under 10 years old are facial.
  • The majority of dog attacks (61%) happen at home or in a familiar place.
  •
  • The vast majority of biting dogs (77%) belong to the victim's family or a friend.
  •
  •  When a child less than 4 years old is the victim, the family dog was the attacker half the time (47%), and the attack almost always happened in the family home (90%).
  •
  • The face is the most frequent target (77% of all injures).

I have several pics of my guys sleeping with my 22mo old, However my 22mo old daughter learns the same thing every kid at my house learns, you do not get to pull on the dog, poke the dog, climb on the dog or sit on the dog or any ot those other things.  Dogs are living and feeling things and as such deserve some respect, and if mama catches you doing any of those things to the dogs she is not going to be happy when she gets to you! I have never had a dog bite in my houe, but my children also don't get to act like holligans !
